I am not even going to try to update this blog because it would take forever to catch up....I have been terrible!!!!!!! We are doing well. Grant turned 4 and we had a great b-day party at the fire station. Grayson is just as sweet as ever and just started crawling. He is pulling up on EVERYTHING! I am thinking he will walk early. He is also saying, "Dada." He likes clapping his hands and loves hearing Patty Cake and Itsy Bitsy Spider. I guess that is OK since Grant said, "Mama" first. We have been busy working and well....living life with two boys!!!! We are having the time of our lives right now. I thank God everyday for my sweet family :))

Saturday, Grant had his first soccer practice/game. They do not play other teams in this little league but they do get to play against each other at the very end of the practice for a few minutes. We were so excited to see Grant get into it and go after the ball. He even scored two goals!!! Well, one goal for his team and the other goal scored-he scored but for the other team (ha)

Easter 2010: We went to Paris Saturday after Grant's little game and the celebration at Chick fil A with NiNi. On Sunday, after we went to church we ate lunch and had an Easter Egg Hunt at MawMaw's house. Then, we went to Nana and PapPaw's house for another Easter Egg Hunt (and to eat again-ha)!

Finally....I am updating the blog. I keep telling myself I need to to better because I really want to print this out into a book and have it to look back at one day. So any of you that have already done something with yours or have any ideas, I would love to hear from you!!???!!

Here are a few pictures we had taken at the Dallas Arboretum.

HALLOWEEN 2009: We had a great time this year. First, on Friday I went to Grant's Fall parade and party at school. Nana (my mom) was staying at my house watching Grayson so they met us there! I have to say Grant was one cute little fireman-ha! On Halloween, we went to our friends Deedra and Chris' neighborhood and went trick or treating with them. Then we went to a Trunk or Treat at a school. We had a great time! Grant LOVED going house to house and saying, "Trick or Treat."

He worked really hard putting out fires. Look at that smoke...

My b-day: I told Kyle I really didn't want to go out to eat for my b-day this year...I would rather just eat at my parents since we were going to Paris...my mom cooked for me and it was exactly what I wanted...steaks, bpotatoes, salad, and rolls. For dessert: the cutest cake-so sweet!!!

Well I decided since Kyle was turning 30, I would throw him a little surprise b-day party!!!! We had it on Saturday and I have to say I was very sneaky...haha! HE HAD NO CLUE and that was the best part of it all. I had reserved a place on the patio at Love and War in Texas. I had appetizers and a few buckets of adult beverages set up for the guests. They were also having the Mike Mancy band play. By the way, they were really good too. It turned out great. My mom and friend Ashley really helped me out getting it together-thank you, thank you!!!!!

He already cut it before I snapped the pic of him w/it-it turned out just like I wanted it! Thanks mom for transporting another one down-ha! You didn't drop it :)

It's FALL!!!

WOW, time goes by soooo fast! I am back to work now....it started out pretty rough b/c I hated leaving my boys!!! I enjoyed staying home with them but reality hit and I had to go back to work. Now I am starting to get into a routine and mom has been down to help several times already. She is coming back this week (YEAH!!) Kyle is going out of town to Georgia for a training. Have I said how much I LOVE MY MOTHER!?!?!?!

Grayson is already 3 months old. I cannot believe it....we've had quite a bit going on lately. Last weekend we went to the Texas OU game w/Lindsey and Chad while NiNi and Po watched the kiddos at our house. Of course, I forgot my memory card so I couldn't take any pictures. The night before was an adventure....we went to Chucky E. Cheese and I took my niece, Emmi to see Chucky. Before I knew it she fell off the chair and busted her lip really bad so we went to the emergency room. Bless her little heart, she was so tough! She had to get 4 little stiches. That Sunday we all went to the pumpkin patch in Celina. We had so much fun....we have gone the past three years. Grant loves going on the hayride, looking at the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, feeding the animals, and eating his hotdog! He doesn't necessarily care for Mommy taking pictures, but oh well....he did good overall! Speaking of pictures the weekend before, we went to the Dallas Arboretum with a photographer (my friend Kelly's sister) to have family pictures taken. I will post some of them when I get the CD!

Grayson is getting so big. I swear he is the sweetest little boy...I could just eat him up when he gives a big grin. He has rolled over several times and actually rolled over the first time when he was 6 or 8 weeks old!?!? I need to go back and look if it was 6 or 8. He likes to watch the bears in the pack-n-play, swing, sit in his bumbo and look around, be held (HA), and snuggle with his mommy. He LOVES patty cake-he smiles everytime!!!

Grant started SoccerTots. He had his first practice last Monday and he really liked it. Coach Mike was fun and Grant really liked him. He is getting so big. I should be writing a lot of things that he says down. He says some pretty big things to be 3 years old. He loves his little brother. He does really good with him and has never acted jealous! He watches everything Kyle does and tries to mock him...he loves to be outside, loves school, of course still LOVES tractors, riding the 4 wheeler, shooting his "Buck" bb gun, riding his Gator, eating "snacks," reading books with us, riding his scooter, and more!

Over the weekend, we went to Paris. Mom and I took the boys to the Pumpkin Festival downtown and had a lot of fun. Grant loved fishing in the fountain. He also went on a ponyride, ate a big corndog (mommy did too), bounced in the bouncehouse, and liked sitting on the J.Deere lawnmower. Nana got him a pop-gun and he LOVES it! He played with it for the rest of the weekend. Today after church, Aunt Robbie and Uncle Larry came over to visit. We had a good time visiting. I am ready for Halloween next weekend!!!

This past weekend was my 10 year highschool reunion! It was so much fun seeing everyone. I cannot believe it has already been TEN years. We had a great time catching up and just having a good time together.

It was also my niece's 2nd b-day party! She looked so cute in her little tutu. Grant had a great time and of course couldn't wait to eat the b-day cake. They had a lot of fun playing together.

Over the weekend we went to Paris for Kyle's cousin Mandy's wedding. Grant was the little ringbearer! It was so much fun and Grant was a such a cutie in my opinion-ha! Friday night we had the rehearsal and a big get together since the wedding and reception was just family. They had barbeque and all the fixings to go with it. Then on Saturday night we had the wedding and a dinner afterwards. It was beautiful and the food was delicious!

Last weekend we went to Abilene to NiNi and Po's house. We go every year at this time because that is when dovehunting season starts. Kyle took Grant on his first dove hunt. They were all so cute in their camoflauge. We had a great time there-they had a blast dovehunting, playing with his little chick they got him, going swimming, riding his tractor and 4 wheeler, and playing at Chucky Cheese! NiNi spoiled us with lots of great food, especially the desserts.

6 weeks old already!?!?!

I cannot believe Grayson will be 6 weeks old on Tuesday!!! We are doing great...Grant is being such a good big brother. We have not had any jealousy issues and he just LOVES his little brother so much already. I know they are going to be the best of friends. Grayson has already had his first travel to Paris with us. We went back so Kyle could get new tractor tires put on our tractor and shred our land there. He will have a longer roadtrip coming up this weekend to Abilene to see NiNi and Po. They just sent us some pictures and the subject line was titled, "Waiting on Grant and Grayson" and it was a picture of little chicks they just bought to put out at the farm. Grayson is spitting up quite a bit so I am worried a little about acid reflux because he spits up just about after each feeding...he is eating every 3-4 hours and at night waking up every 3-4 hours to eat(occasionally 5 hours)but goes right back to sleep.

He is growing sooo fast! Here were the measurements at his 1 month appointment:

WEIGHT: 10 lbs. 8 oz. 63%
He has filled out so much. He definitely has kissable cheeks!! :)

HEIGHT: 21 3/4 inches long 50%

HEAD: 56%

We have a lot going on the next few weekends: this weekend Abilene, next weekend Kyle's cousin Mandy is getting married so we are going to Paris for that. Grant is going to be one of the little ringbearers-CUTE! The following weekend is my 10 year high school reunion. Of course, I couldn't have timed it any better (HAHA)...I will have an 8 week old at that point so I'm not going to be in the best shape for the reunion. :)

He is here!!! Grayson was born on Tuesday, July 21st at 3:23 in the afternoon. He weighed 7 ibs. 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. It is crazy because that is EXACTLY what Grant was. We are doing great so far. My mom has been awesome! She has been cooking home cooked meals and cleaning for us. I cannot believe I have two boys now. We are officially a family of 4. I am so blessed to have such a great family and friends. Here are a few pictures...

We had a fun 4th of July camping out at the lake this year. My poor ankles and feet are swollen and the heat did not help things-ha! Saturday night my mom and I went to Becky Gray's wedding. We played basketball together in highschool. We had a great time and the wedding was really pretty. After the reception, we went back to do some fireworks at my parent's house. Grant did a few sparklers and Roman Candles and that was about it. He wanted to be in someone's lap the rest of the time-ha!

We are ready for Grayson to get here. We are still waiting on the glider that is being recovered and the valance. I also have to find a little lamp to put on his nightstand and some other decorations eventually, but everything else is ready to go! I go back to the doctor on Monday. This past week I was dilated to a "2" but that could last another two weeks or so...I hope not!!!

Nini and Po came down a few weeks ago and watched Grant while Kyle and I had a summer camp. Grant had a great time swimming, going to the movies and watching, "Ice Age," feeding the ducks, and of course eating way too much candy! We went out to the lake one night for a boat ride...

Catching up!

Well as you can tell the blog has been put on the backburner lately. I am not going to try to catch up over the past month with a lot of details. My doctor's appointments have been going good and everything seems to be right on schedule. If I haven't had Grayson by July 21st, I am going to be induced on the 21st at 5:00AM. I hope he decides to come around that time on his own..I guess we will see!!!

We had a couple of showers-my school gave us a "Sprinkle" and Kyle's school gave us a shower as well. They were both great! We are very blessed to work with such wonderful people.

The bedding came in yesterday and I was really excited to get it all set up in his crib. It turned out just the way I wanted it to!

This past weekend we had Kyler's 8th b-day party and celebrated Father's Day. Kyle, Grant and I went to Hugo Lake Sunday morning and went fishing. We kept 34 crappie so we are ready for a fish fry!

We have decided on a name for our little guy:

GRAYSON CADE PURSIFULL

Yes, we are using my maiden name-I really like the name Grayson. I think it is a strong name and a name that will last for years and years to come. The middle name "Cade" I had just liked and was really between naming him Grayson or Cade and Kyle and I decided on Grayson for his first name and something short for the middle name, so we went with Cade. I cannot wait to say, "These are my two boys-Grant and Grayson." I went to the doctor yesterday and measure right on-30 weeks and 2 days. His heartbeat was 140 and he is moving around like crazy here lately!

Kyle still has to paint the room, but hopefully that will happen in the next couple of weeks and then we can get the furniture moved in and the bedding once it is finished...I cannot wait!

This past weekend we went to Paris on Saturday evening. I was helping give a wedding shower for my friend, April. After the shower a few of us went to eat at TaMolly's (yummy)! Kyle had bought 35 pounds of live crawfish and cooked those for lunch after church out at my parents. I hated I missed the crawfish boil but was excited to see some of my good friends. Grant had a big time and even stayed in the bed all night with NaNa and Pap'Paw. WOW! He is getting too big!

Last weekend my brother-n-law-Jeremy and nephew-Kyler got baptized on Mother's Day!!! It was awesome! I am so proud of them.

Grant had a big time playing with NiNi last week when she came down. They had a big day going to McDonald's for breakfast, to the movies and had to wear the 3D glasses to watch the movie-Monsters vs. Aliens, fed the ducks, and went swimming in the backyard in his little swimming pool. HE EVEN SLEPT ALL NIGHT IN THE BED WITH HER!!!!! Kyle and I were shocked b/c he has not done that before. Now that he has, he is a pro b/c like I mentioned before he did with my parents this past weekend too.

This weekend we went to Kaylee's 3rd b-day party in Pittsburg. We headed down on Saturday and came back on Sunday. Every year they come down and stay with us for Grant's party and then we go down and stay with them for Kaylee's party. Kelly and I were talking about how next year will be so much harder..their will be 4 of them! She is also pregnant and having a little boy. It should be interesting! We will be going from two little ones to four.

Easter 2009

We had a great Easter this year. Grant was really into it and couldn't wait to find the eggs with the candy in them. Uncle Steven put $5.00 in an egg and Grant found it and just kept going...of course, I yelled at him to come back and pick the egg up and held onto the money for him! I didn't want him to lose it. HA

Everything is going good with little one. He seems to be growing quite a bit lately (or at least I am). I go back to the doctor on Wednesday for the glucose test so hopefully all that goes well. He is moving around a lot. We still have not decided on a name. We have talked a lot about Grayson (which is my maiden name) and have bounced the name Cade around a few times...who knows, we could come up with something completely different in the next few weeks, but we haven't so far. I like the sound of Grant and Grayson...but we'll see.

On Saturday we headed to Sulphur Springs to meet my mom so that I could go with her to Canton. Kyle and Grant headed on to Pittsburg to hang out with Jay (for his b-day) and little Miss Kaylie. Grant went fishing, rode on a horse, and sat on several bulldozers, which he LOVED! When I got to their house that night, you should have seen his little face-it was covered in dirt.

Mom and I went to meet with a girl in Canton that makes custom baby bedding. Jay's wife, Kelly has a booth in Canton and had told me about this girl there and how good she was. I wasn't expecting to check this off my list already, but I can now! The bedding has been ordered and she will begin working on it soon...it is going to take about 9 weeks, but it might be a little sooner. Most of you that know me pretty well, know I am not the best at making decisions quickly and it is obvious who I get that from-my mother who was the one with me, so you can only imagine...we spent at least two hours or more at her booth, laying fabric around and looking at different ideas, because there were sooo many different things you could do with it. She had a set there with most of the fabrics that I wanted to use, but we had to figure out what we wanted to change which we ended up changing a lot. I couldn't have done it with out her. THANKS MOM!

We had fun eating for the most part-ha! We started with corny dogs at 10:30 that morning, and then had roasted corn on the cob and a philly cheesesteak for lunch, and of course before we finished the day out we had to get a funnel cake-ha! Wow, that was a lot of food, not to mention what I ate for dinner...we had a such a good time!

After Canton, I rode to Pittsburg with Kelly and her mom. When we got there we ate ribs that Kyle had cooked for Jay's b-day. They were soooo good! He can definitely cook some ribs! Then we had an icecream birthday cake-Grant's favorite part!

Well there is no way I can remember everything we have had going on in the past month so I am not going to even try. I did want to post some pictures of our little baby boy from the sonogram we had this month. We are not sure on a name yet....it has been really hard!!! We were so excited to see him again and how much he had grown. My mom came down and went with us to see him. I am just getting bigger by the day! I go back to the doctor tomorrow just for a check up.

This weekend we headed to Commerce for Evie's b-day party (some friends of ours little girl). We stayed the night with them and came back today and went to a tractor show. Of course, Grant LOVED that!!! He went on a hayride, climbed on just about every tractor, ate kettle corn, fed the animals, and went on a pony ride!

Saturday we headed over to Nokia Theater to watch Sesame Street Live! This was one of Grant's b-day gifts from NiNi and Po. We had a blast!!! Grant's favorite character was the Cookie Monster. He really hasn't ever watched much of Sesame Street, but he loved it. We had the best seats ever. We were on the 4th row from the stage and it didn't get much better than that.

***Something funny that I want to remember so I am writing it on here is that Grant loves the song Slowride, by Foghat. He wants us to play it on the Ipod in the car all the time. This week at school when I picked him up his teacher said he was singing the song and dancing for his class. She had put his hair in a mohawk. It was too cute! Also, last week he was in the bath and said something that sounded like "gluteus maximus" and of course I did a double take and asked him what he said and then where did he learn that word. He told me he learned it from Stretch and Grow, a little program that comes to their school. It was hilarious! I couldn't believe my 3 year old could say that big word!

Nana's Surprise 60th B-day party!!!

My mom's b-day was on Saturday, Feb. 21st and since she was turning 60 Kendra and I decided to throw a little surprise b-day party for her in Paris. We had it at the Fish Fry in a room we had reserved that would hold around 40 people. She was shocked! She knew her brothers and sister were coming but not everyone else!!! She had such a good time sharing her special day with all of her family and good friends that could come. She received several nice gifts including a big bouquet of flowers from my dad (my Uncle Steven made them).

I couldn't ask for a better mother. She is unbelievable and definitely deserved a fun night that was "all about her."

What a busy weekend! On Friday, NiNi and Po came and stayed the night with us. I was running around doing last minute party stuff (of course). Saturday, it was time for the party at Wiggles! We headed to Frisco to pick up the balloons I had ordered and walked into Wiggles and guess what......the $25 dollars balloons I had just picked up couldn't go in with us!!! Yes, I didn't know we couldn't bring latex balloons in, but anyway....other than that and how hot it was in the place....it turned out great. The kiddos had a great time playing and it was great having all of our family and friends there. Grant got tons of gifts (that I'm still not sure where to put) and had so much fun playing with his friends!!!

The Silman family, Conner family and Uncle Hoss stayed with us Saturday night and we all went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It is something we do every year....and we have so much fun spending time with them!

Weekend in Paris

Over the weekend we went to Paris. On Saturday we went to Kyler's basketball game. That night wen went to Aunt Kendra and Uncle Jeremy's house and ate dinner and played darts. Later, Grant stayed there and played with Kyler and Blake for a little while so we could go meet up with some friends that came in from out of town. They were in town for the Reckless Kelly concert. We didn't go to the concert...I am sure it would have been a little too smokey there! On Sunday, Nana made a big lunch after church-a baked ham, potato salad, purple-hull peas, and rolls. It was so good!!!! Then Nana, Grant, Kyler, and Blake made Valentine cookies.

Today, I had a doctor's appointment. It was just a routine check up nd everything went good. His little heartbeat was 148 today. She was having a hard time getting it because he kept moving around. We go back Monday, March 2nd for a sonogram to see our other little baby boy again! We are not sure on a name, but have been throwing one name around pretty seriously. We have Grant's b-day party this weekend so that should be fun!!! I cannot believe our little boy is about to be 3 years old already.

BROTHER! We cannot believe that we already found out! We went to the doctor for a sequential screening to make sure that everything looked healthy and came out not only finding out we have a healthy baby but a healthy baby boy!

My blood work was sent off but by looking at the sonogram the doctor thought everything looked good. That is what I had been praying for every single day. The lady that did the sonogram asked us if we were going to find out the gender and we said that we were. She asked if we wanted her guess and I said yes! She said that her guess was a boy. She told us she never tells the doctor her guess, so we could see what he thought, but they are very good at telling the gender.

The doctor came in and did the sonogram as well. He was looking at everything and at the end I asked him what he thought as far as gender and he said, "Oh, you want to know what you are having?" Of course, I said that I did and he without question said, It's a boy. He had no question it was a little boy. They could tell by the reproductive system and how the dots were stacked on top of each other. A girl they dots are side by side. I was a little shocked that they were so certain.

Of course, my initial thought was I knew it would be a boy, and in the back of my mind I was thinking, "No little girl...." I am very excited for Grant because I know he will love having a brother. Kyle said he always wanted a brother and I can see that because I have always loved having a sister!!! I will post some of the sonogram pictures as soon as I get them back. I left them at my parent's house in Paris this weekend. :(

D is correct!!! All of those things are true including that I am pregnant!!!! I will be 12 weeks this Saturday. We went to the doctor today and heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was a good, strong, fast heartbeat-"173"
WE ARE SUPER EXCITED and I am due July 25th!!!!!!!! Grant went with us and he already is loving on my tummy and giving the baby kisses. When I asked him if he heard the heartbeat, he looked at me and said what is the babies name??" Too cute!

We got home on New Year's Eve so we didn't do anything that night but watch movies. On New Year's day, Hoss (Justin), Jerod and his girlfriend, Chelsea and their friend Micah came over to eat with us. Kyle fried a turkey in his new turkey fryer and I made black-eyed peas, and cornbread.

We had a great Christmas this year!!! God has truly blessed us with such a wonderful family and we love spending time with them. Our Christmas started last weekend...we headed to Abilene to Norma and Bob's (NiNi and Po) house. Kyle wanted to go ahead and give me my gift before we went to Abilene and this was it...

Grant had a little Christmas performance at his school Thursday night and that was one of the songs they had to sing. It was adorable!!! He had his little pine tree hat on and he also wore a bell on his wrist to ring for this song...

Thanksgiving Break

I am finally getting around to writing about our Thanksgiving Break...we had a good time starting with going to Beavers Bend for the weekend with NiNi, Po, LuLu (Lindsey-my sister-n-law), Chad, and Emmi. We had a great time just hanging out there, eating, reading magazines, building fires, making smores, and Grant's favorite part was the surprise he and Emmi got.....they both got a 4 wheeler from NiNi and Po. It was soooo cold but Grant went out a few times to ride it. He cannot wait to ride it again when we go out to Abilene to have Christmas.

Then we stayed the rest of the week in Paris and had Thanksgiving at MawMaw's and then at NaNa and Papaw's (my parents) house. My mom, sister and I have started the crazy tradition of going to my house Thanksgiving night to stay and getting up EARLY the next morning to go shopping all day. This time we were at Kohl's at 4:00am...yes you heard me right-4:00!! We have so much fun going. During the break, my best friend from high school, Shawna's mom passed away so we went to family night and to the funeral. It was so good to spend some time with Shawna and go eat dinner and hang out together. I loved her mom, she was such a sweet person. Several of our friend's were there and it was really good to see them. Kyle killed a deer with his bow for the first time so he was excited. We had a great break and cannot wait for Christmas break to get here!!!

Family Reunion and Happy B-Day Kyle!

Over the weekend we went to Paris for the Grayson Family Reunion and to celebrate Kyle's b-day. Friday night we met my my parents and my cousin Danny and his family at Tamolly's. They came in all the way from Washington. Then on Saturday we headed to my cousin Donna's house in Cooper for the reunion. It turned out so good because a lot of the family were able to come. It was good to visit and catch up with everyone. Kyle hunted a lot of the weekend but didn't see a buck. He is determined to kill a buck with his bow this year, so hopefully over the Thanksgiving Break he will. He doesn't have a Harley, but he sure looked cute in his little biker outfit for Halloween!!! On Friday, his school had a little parade. I didn't make it to the parade, but I did go for the party at lunch. He was sooo excited that I was there. He kept saying, "MOMMY! MOMMY!" He wanted me to tell his friends Hi and then tell his teachers Hi.....it was so sweet! I hated leaving but he did fine. It was nap time and he fussed for a few seconds and then I bribed him to lay on his nap mat by giving him a piece of candy. I didn't want him to cry!!!

Then Friday afternoon we left for Paris. Our first stop was by MawMaw's house. Then we met Nana and Pap'Paw at First Baptist Church for a little Fall Festival they were having. After that we went by to see NiNi, Lou Lou, Uncle Chad and Emmi before going trick or treating around my sister's neighborhood. Our last stop of the night was trick or treating by PawPaw and Granny's house before going to bed! The next morning I went to Canton shopping with my mother-n-law, sister-n-law and one of her friends. It was packed, but we had a great time! Grant went and played at the deer woods all day.

This weekend Grant's little school had a Fall Festival. Then we went to Bryce's (a little boy is his class) b-day party at Planet Pizza. Over the weekend we went to Paris and Grant had a chance to go to deer camp. He didn't actually spend the night this time but stayed out there ALL day Saturday. He was in hog heaven! Kyle took him to his deer stand with him and told him they had to be very quiet. Kyle said he did a great job and every once in a while would say, "Shhh...daddy!" He is mocking everything Kyle does right now. When Kyle put his camoflauge on, Grant wanted to put his camoflauge outfit on...when Kyle put his boots on, Grant wanted to put his boots on, etc. SO SWEET!

This weekend was Kyle's 10 year high school reunion. We had sooo much fun seeing everyone. Friday night we went to the Homecoming game. Grant went with us to the game and had a good time running around. We left at half time to meet mom so she could take Grant home. He looked so cute in his little North Lamar shirt and new shoes-thanks to Nana!!! Then we all went out and had a blast!!! On Saturday night, we went to the Elk's Club to eat dinner and see everyone again. We were exhausted yesterday. We have not gone out two nights in a row in a looooong time!!!

This weekend we went to see Kyle's grandparents at Lake Grapevine and had a great time relaxing and spending time with them. Grant had so much fun riding the golf cart, helping Granny make pancakes, eating marshmallows, feeding the ducks, playing at the park, going on a nature walk and more. We stayed in a neat little cabin there and had the best time just getting away and being lazy. I asked Grant when he wants to go back and he said Saturday..haha

Granny said one minute Grant looked like Kyle and the next minute like me...she also kept saying that she couldn't believe how well Grant talks and his vocabulary.

Last night we were going to bed and Grant wanted me to say night-night prayers first. When I finished praying, it was dark and just silent. Grant said to me, "Mommy, Where is God?" I just sat there for a minute and thought Wow...my 2 1/2 year old is asking me about God-yeah!!! I said well Grant he is in heaven and he is also right here with you all of the time...he then says, "Where is heaven??" At that point, I just said the first thing that I thought of...well heaven is up in the sky and God is there watching over you. It was so sweet!!!

This weekend we went to NiNi and Po's in Abilene. We had a great time...Kyle went dove hunting, we went go-cart racing, to the fair, fishing, and of course ate really good food that my mother-n-law cooked! We always enjoy snacking on everything she cooks. I think I came back with three new recipes (two of those were desserts-my favorite).

On Saturday, we went to a place called, "Prime Time" in Abilene and rode go-carts. We had so much fun getting out their and playing around. They also had arcade games inside so Grant had fun playing a few of those.

Then, we went to the fair! Grant liked looking at the animals and riding the neat rides there. When we were leaving he said, "I want to ride the steering (meaning ferris) wheel." It was so cute!!

Yes, that is me on a monkey-ha! Kyle and Norma (my mother-n-law) got a kick out of that. They laughed the whole time. Grant wanted to ride the giraffe and guess what was right next to it-a little monkey!

Pre-school & Labor Day weekend

Well it has been a few weeks since I last updated the blog. Grant started preschool and did great the first THREE days and the last three days were ROUGH.(for Grant and mommy) On Wednesday, I thought it would be a good idea for Kyle to take him (ha), because I just couldn't do it. I called to check on him and they said he stopped within less than a minute after Kyle left, so that was good. Nana went and picked him up and he was so excited!! Then she took him to get icecream at McDonalds's. That night we went to eat with my Aunt Robbie, my cousin Lea, and my Uncle Steven at Olive Garden.

Thursday morning they went for donuts and then to Paris to see Pap'Paw and spend the night there. Kyle and I went to Paris after work on Friday and spent the weekend for Labor Day. We had a great time. My dad got a new Kabota Diesel lawnmower. Here they are going for a ride on it:

Grant rode his Gator so much the battery had to be recharged three times while we were there. He is so funny. He likes to get really close to the trees and then lean down underneath the tree limbs.

On Saturday we went out to the lake and had a blast. The best part was my mom and dad both tubing!!! Then on Sunday, we went over to Grant's Paw'Paw and Granny's house (Tom and Claudia) for a fish fry. I forgot to get my camera out until later but I did get a picture of our sweet niece, Emmi. I cannot believe she is about to be one!! My camera never captured her cute little smile.

Nana and Pa'Paw are home!!! We are so glad to have my parents back home. They were actually gone for 3 1/2 months. A few days before they came home I had to work some on Thursday and Friday. PawPaw (Kyle's dad) came and stayed the night Thursday night and watched Grant Thursday and Friday. Thursday night we went to eat at P.F. Changs and it was really good. Kyle and his dad had not been there before and they both really liked it. Grant had a great time with his PawPaw.

On Friday I finished by 1:00, so Grant and I went ahead and rode to Paris with my father-n-law (because my parents were going to be home around 3:00). When we arrived at my parent's house my parents headed out the door to meet us. It was soooo good to see them. Grant was a little shy at first, but went straight to my dad (Pa'Paw) when he held his hands out. Later, Kyle got into town and we all went to eat at Don's (it is an all you can eat fish, shrimp, etc...place) and it was great. When we got back home my parents had a big surprise for Grant. How cute is this....

They were going to wait until Saturday morning because it was dark by the time we got back home, but of course my dad couldn't stand it and had to give it to him!

Nothing was soothing you so Nana decided to go into the living room and watch Shrek with you. She couldn't stand you crying. She was willing to do anything to get you to stop (that was her own words-ha). You finally stopped and ended up falling asleep after you and Nana watched ALL of Shrek. I hate that you cried, but I am glad you still want your mommy. I cried as daddy and I were driving off leaving you for some reason. This wasn't the first time we left you overnight before, but I just got a little upset. I cannot wait to see you tomorrow!!!

We had a great time at Parker's birthday party. It was in Greenville at his Nawna and Poppy's house. Grant had so much fun sliding down the water slide, playing in the pool, and the best time riding the train!!! Grant and Parker have been best buds since last summer. There are some pictures below from the party. Also, I am soooo excited because my parents are coming home next weekend!!!! They have been in Minnesota for the past 4 1/2 months-yes months! My dad has been working up there, but they are finally coming home. Grant talks to them on the phone all the time and is ready to see his Nana and Pa'Paw.

Tomorrow, Grant and I are going to his preschool for a meeting to make sure everything is turned in and ready to go. This time will also be a good opportunity for Grant to become a little more familiar with the environment.

Friday, we went to Hawaiian Falls and we had sooooo much fun there. Grant got right in there with Blake and Kyler. He was such a big boy!!! He went down four different slides all by himself.

Sunday after church our friend Hoss (that is his nickname, his real name is Justin) came over and we went out to the lake. Grant went on the tube for the first time. He loved it!!!

Hoss tubing....he set a record of catching the most air on the tube today. Jeremy and Blake-he took the record from you and it is going to be really hard to get the title back. Hoss-I bet you are sore tomorrow, especially your fingers from playing Guitar Hero when we got back home!!??!

Sunday we went to Camdyn's birthday party-she is "3" now. Grant and Camdyn have been friends since he was 6 months old. Camdyn is Ms. Erika's daughter (she kept Grant for the past year and a half). Ms. Erika decided to go back to work as a hair stylist. Grant just loves her and we are really going to miss seeing her everyday. He will start at a little preschool soon so I am praying that goes well. Here are some pictures from Camdyn's b-day party.

Monday-Camdyn and Parker came over to play and then we headed off to meet NiNi and Po at the Dallas World Aquarium. Grant had a great time and his favorite thing to look at was the sharks (that was his favorite thing at Sea World too).

He wanted to know if the baby alligators were nice....and we were fast to tell him, "No!" Anytime we were going to look at something new he would say, "Lets go check it out."

My mother-n-law had a conference in Dallas so they were staying in a hotel so we went back to the hotel and Grant went swimming. Then we went to dinner at the Blue Mesa.

Anniversary/Wedding/Camping trip

Kyle and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary over the weekend! I told Kyle that I would plan this anniversary so... on Friday, I told Kyle that Grant and I were going shopping at the mall. We really went to meet my sister, brother-n-law Jeremy, and nephews-Blake and Kyler in Bonham. I went home and told Kyle to pack a bag. Of course, he wanted to know where we were going and for how long (for the evening, overnight.., etc., but I didn't tell him anything but to pack a bag with whatever he thought he should pack. I drove us over to the Gaylord Texan hotel in Grapevine. Kyle was so surprised! We went down to the pool to hang out for awhile when we got there. Then, we went to dinner at the Riverwalk Cafe while watching a Murder Mystery show. It was neat because they involved the crowd and the characters were hilarious. It was so nice to be able to go do something (just the two of us). That doesn't happen very often! Thank you sister, Jeremy, Blake and Kyler for taking such good care of Grant!!!! We had a blast!

After the show, we watched indoor fireworks and then took the trolley over to a place called the Glass Cactus. It was disco night so they had a really good disco band playing 70's and 80's music. We had sooo much fun there!

We finally called it a night and the next day woke up and had breakfast at the Riverwalk Cafe. We went by Bass Pro and then went shopping at the Grapevine Mills mall. Saturday night we went to a wedding in Commerce and then went on to Paris to my sister's house to see Grant and stayed the night there.

Grant went out! That constant movement on the boat put him right to sleep.

Kyle and his sister Lindsey went on the tube. Then, Lindsey and I went and we had a blast. We hit some big waves and then ended up falling off on a really sharp turn. We really fell off on purpose, right Lindsey!?!?

Here are a few pictures from a summer camp that Grant went to last week called, "Buggin Out." He had a good time playing with bubbles, shaving cream (he had it from head to toe when I walked by his class), making a bug shirt, painting a butterfly, singing songs, playing on the playground, eating popsicles, swimming and much more!

I have a few friends that have a blog and I decided to start one. I thought it would be a great way to post pictures of Grant instead of sending out mass emails to everyone and also be able to stay in touch with people and have something that documents what is going on in our lives. I heard that you can create a scrapbook using a blog so hopefully I will figure out how to do that.

We got a ski boat a few weeks ago so we've had fun going out to the lake. We celebrated the 4th of July in Paris. (Texas, of course) We took the boat to Paris and went out to the lake. We had fun hanging out with our family.

We went on a little family vacation to San Antonio with NiNi and Po (Kyle's mom and her husband Bob) and took Grant to Sea World. Grant enjoyed swimming at the hotel more than anything. My mom said that I needed to start writing things down that Grant says or I will forget so I am writing something he said on our way to San Antonio. We were in the car and Grant spotted a tractor (he can spot one a mile a way and knows what it is: a tractor, backhoe, bulldozer, grater, etc.) and Norma/NiNi (my mother-n-law) told Grant he had tractor eyes. He laughed and said, "That's hilarious!" I am not sure where he came up with the word hilarious and what it actually means but I thought it was funny.

Well hopefully I will keep this up. I think it would be fun to look back on one day!
