Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year!!! God has truly blessed us with such a wonderful family and we love spending time with them. Our Christmas started last weekend...we headed to Abilene to Norma and Bob's (NiNi and Po) house. Kyle wanted to go ahead and give me my gift before we went to Abilene and this was it...

I LOVE IT!!!!! I took A LOT of pictures!

Here are some pictures from Christmas in Abilene:

They got us a family gift this year to............The Great Wolfe Lodge!!!! It is an indoor waterpark in Grapevine and we are going tomorrow to stay there through New Year's Eve day! We are sooo excited!

I think Grant has more tractors than other kid I know (especially that is not even 3 yet!!!) He loved the front-end loader on it.

LOVE this shirt-I think the big boys would like to have this shirt-ha!

They got a 4 wheeler for the grandkids! We had a scare that night when he pushed the gas, and I thought I was going to have a heart attack but everything was OK...

My little pine tree

I'm a little pine tree-as you can see,
All the other pine trees are bigger than me.
Maybe when I grow up-then I'll be
A great big Christmas tree!

Grant had a little Christmas performance at his school Thursday night and that was one of the songs they had to sing. It was adorable!!! He had his little pine tree hat on and he also wore a bell on his wrist to ring for this song...

Ring, ring, ring the bells,
Ring them loud and clear
To say to people everywhere
That Christmas time is here.

He was shy at first but then he started singing and ringing his bell. We were very proud of him!

Looking at all the people...

He couldn't wait for the refreshments after the program was over.

Thanksgiving Break

I am finally getting around to writing about our Thanksgiving Break...we had a good time starting with going to Beavers Bend for the weekend with NiNi, Po, LuLu (Lindsey-my sister-n-law), Chad, and Emmi. We had a great time just hanging out there, eating, reading magazines, building fires, making smores, and Grant's favorite part was the surprise he and Emmi got.....they both got a 4 wheeler from NiNi and Po. It was soooo cold but Grant went out a few times to ride it. He cannot wait to ride it again when we go out to Abilene to have Christmas.

Uncle Chad took the pic.-he was trying to get Emmi to look, but as he snapped it she looked over at her big cousin Grant.

Then we stayed the rest of the week in Paris and had Thanksgiving at MawMaw's and then at NaNa and Papaw's (my parents) house. My mom, sister and I have started the crazy tradition of going to my house Thanksgiving night to stay and getting up EARLY the next morning to go shopping all day. This time we were at Kohl's at 4:00am...yes you heard me right-4:00!! We have so much fun going. During the break, my best friend from high school, Shawna's mom passed away so we went to family night and to the funeral. It was so good to spend some time with Shawna and go eat dinner and hang out together. I loved her mom, she was such a sweet person. Several of our friend's were there and it was really good to see them. Kyle killed a deer with his bow for the first time so he was excited. We had a great break and cannot wait for Christmas break to get here!!!

Claudia is taking the picture here..Grant is actually smiling for the picture!

He had fun riding his gator at the deer woods...
